This new 4,600 square feet building will house the library for the Sisseton Wahpeton College and the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Community. It will also be the home for the historical archives of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. The front face of this brick building will feature a brick sculpture (designed and sculpted by Images in Brick, www.imagesinbrick.com) depicting the culture of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. Although this building is not designated for LEED certification, it does feature geothermal heating, solar energy, a cool roof and daylighting. Construction is expected to be completed in May 2012.
