GAMING PROJECTS

Fort Randall Casino and Hotel is located near Pickstown, South Dakota. It is owned and operated by the Yankton Sioux Tribe. This addition houses 350 slot machines, 10 blackjack tables and many customer amenities, including: cashier, player’s club, coat check, restrooms and a gift shop. This project also includes a grand lobby that in addition to providing a grand entrance into the casino, will also provide a grand entrance into a future hotel and convention center. The grand lobby features a mural created from the original artwork of Native American artist, JoAnne Bird. The painting was created specifically for this project. This project includes colors and symbolism that represents the Yankton Sioux Tribe’s culture. The front of the building has seven massive light fixtures shaped like fires that represent the 7 Council Fires of the Great Sioux Nation. Phase Two of this project is expected to begin construction in the Spring of 2012. It will include a hotel, convention center, restaurants, lounge, an indoor swimming facility and additional gaming floor.
